I never meant to keep Briannes Final Print, better known as Spot.
But how can you not fall in love with a horse that stops big every time and just really wants to please?
She was reserve in the CNYRHA Non Pro Limited Non Pro Derby (would have been reserve in the Non Pro Derby if I'd cross entered) and has good Intermediate and Limited Non Pro wins and placings. She has a huge stop that's very easy to sit to, and a plus turnaround. She is a very kind and forgiving mare that can do well with a professional or non pro.

She has occasionally been used in lessons and has shown extreme kindness in "teaching" children new to reining and to riding.

Briannes Final Print's dam is an NRHA money earner whose foals have earnings in NRHA competition and other events.

This mare is a one of a kind; big stopping mares like this don't come along very often. For 2008, she'll either be bred or shown.

Look for the next generation!! Sure to make their marks in NRHA competition!

Her Dam, Bad Ant Brianne was one of the best reining mares in the upper Mid-west and has 12 open performance points and money earned in reining.
She is the dam of 5 performer including Canta Forget My Face, Bad Powder Dancer, Santana Canta and Canta Ant Be Peppy.
The blood in this mare comes from such notable horses as Poco Bueno, Dell Wrangler, Red Bad Ant, Grey Badger III and Little Red Ant.

Briannes Final Print's sire is Print Olive, is shown in this photograph from a 1983 Performance Horseman article (the magazine is now Horse & Rider).

that year, Jack and Dee Hertig showed the stallion to the Top Ten in NRHA World Championship standings in TWO events. He was then one of the few paints shown in the NRHA. His NRHA earnings totaled more than $4,000. It is hard to believe that, in those years, that was a huge amount of earnings, but it was. Print Olive's NRHA wins and placings include shows at Harlansburg,PA, Syracuse,NY, Old Washington,OH, Erie, PA, San Antonio,TX,and Austin,TX.

Born in 1976, Print Olive stood at stud at the Hertigs' ranch and passed away in 2004.

HIs offspring include Prints Toy (Print Olive x Dixies Ms Cowbeau). He placed in the finals of the 2001 APHA World 3 year old Reining Challenge. In 2002 he won the NRHA Open at the Glen Rose Stampede and was 2nd in the Open at the Lubbock TX Sandstorm Ride and Slide Reining. He was the 2002 WTRHA OPEN CHAMPION and earned his APHA ROM in only 2 shows, gaining 9 pts from the first show.

Spot was the final foal of Bad Ant Brainne. Soon after Spot was born, she and her dam were turned out with another mare and foal. About 2 weeks laer, the mare colicked and had to be euthanized. When the foal called for her dam, Brianne called to her and--even though she was extremely old and with health probelms of her own--nursed both foals for the next 3 months. Her condition weakened, and the vets advised that both foals be introduced to grain as quickly as possible. On the day of weaning, Brianne didn't fret or call to either foal--her own or her adopted foal. She didn't eat or drink, and walked to a large tree, already identified as the site where she would be buried. The next day, she simply laid down and died. Her work was done.
