Smoke is sound, despite the large left ankle (injured in a sliding stop), which is gradually becoming less prominent with time, continued care, and light riding. X rays to that ankle, taken at time of injury and 6 months later (July 2004) show no bone changes. She has an earlier scarring above the ankle from injury as a weanling or yearling but that never affected her ability.
